STX-SYS
Korigami is a body of work that reimagines collage through a system of folding, scanning, and reproduction.

Composition emerges from a single printed image source, being physically altered and digitally captured at a moment of structural tension. The results are records of improvised moments of pressured gesture, and memory in flux.

While prioritizing the process, the korigami system creates many forms of finality, and seeks to broaden the definitions of collage, photography and choreography by asking how images can hold time, touch, and collapse.

STX-SYS

A modular body of work within Korigami that operates through repetition, constraint, and variation. Each piece functions as a unit within a system produced through folding, scanning, and controlled digital reproduction.

The works originate from a single magazine page, treated as a two-sided image source. Depending on the piece, the front, the back, or both sides are used. Through folding, compression, and scanning at moments of structural tension, each composition records a specific state within an ongoing process, preserving evidence of pressure, alignment, misalignment, and material decision-making. By treating structure as a governing logic, STX-SYS produces multiple forms of provisional finality.

When viewed individually, each work stands as a complete composition. When viewed together, the works reveal an underlying image-making system that emphasizes process, constraint, and variation over time, framing collage as an evolving structure rather than a singular outcome.
