Korigami is a body of work that reimagines collage through a system of folding, scanning, and reproduction.

Composition emerges from a single printed image source, being physically altered and digitally captured at a moment of structural tension. The results are records of improvised moments of pressured gesture, and memory in flux.

While prioritizing the process, the korigami system creates many forms of finality, and seeks to broaden the definitions of collage, photography and choreography by asking how images can hold time, touch, and collapse.

SONICFOLDS

Sonic Folds is a series in progress that considers how sound may be used to echo and extend the principles behind my visual art practice. The playlists are time-based compositions whereby known pop music structures become deconstructed and reconstructed via changes in rhythm, timbre, and mood. These structures show the build-up and resolution of pressures within the structures and the settling of emotions within a state of controlled calmness. Similar to the concept of korigami, the playlists construct systems of emotion and structure in flux.
