Korigami

Korigamis is an ongoing series of folded paper collages developed through a hybrid analog-digital process.

Each work begins with printed material that is physically folded using a self-devised method influenced by origami, then scanned and digitally restructured to form new visual systems.

The process allows abstraction to emerge through manipulation of form rather than erasure, producing compositions that oscillate between image and object, gesture and grid. Drawing conceptually from Concrete and Neo-Concrete traditions, the series foregrounds material, structure, and viewer perception while also acknowledging the subjective imprint of memory and cultural context.

The use of mass-produced imagery positions the work within a post-digital environment, where commercial detritus becomes raw material for formal experimentation. As the series evolves, Korigamis continues to investigate how technological mediation, repetition, and touch intersect in the construction of meaning through image.
